from Vasant Moon, a dalit (a term which was originally and unrightfully coined untouchable or lower than human) quotes Babasaheb, "'Listen, one candle can light another candle, can't it? Doesn't the spark go from on to another? Rebirth is the same way. Without being extinguished, the spark from the candle arises in another place, this is what is called rebirth." This was in the response to Moon's question about Buddhism's non-belief in spirit but its acceptance of rebirth.
I'm still deciding what I believe in, I haven't really read anything or educated myself on any matter... but as a non-god believer I find it difficult to believe in re-birth as well... it's still fascinating, though
